National Home Brew Calcium Sulphate
Calcium Sulphate is an important mineral for its effect on mash and wort pH. Used to harden water (lowers mash pH) when brewing ales and bitters and accentuates hop character.
It is a useful addition to brewing water at the mash phase. It is not highly soluble in water as is best pre-dissolved 24 hours before with vigorous stirring for best effect.
