Finishing hops are small additions which can add flavour and aroma to your beer.
These packs contain hop pellets enclosed in a fine Tea Bag so they can be steeped in boiling water or added to the fermenter or keg.
For adding flavour, place the hop bag into a small mixing bowl and add 300-500 ml of boiling water from a kettle or jug, allow to stand for 10-15 minutes and then add to the fermenter, bag and all before pitching the yeast.
To add more aroma, (which also adds to the overall flavour profile) add the hop bag directly to the fermenter once fermentation has almost ceased. The bag will slowly seep hop oils out into the beer and it should sit for between 5 & 7 days for maximum effect. Lifting the lid of the fermenter in a clean environment to add the hops will not adversely effect the beer.
