Hop Retainer – Stainless Steel
Hop Retainer Basket, AKA Hop Spider
80 ยต (80 Micron) stainless steel mesh basket for retaining hops in the boil kettle.
The hop retainer basket allows full flow through the mesh to extract all of the available hop oils at all stages of the boil. It simply sits over the edge of the boil kettle and sits far enough down on most pots to allow thorough covering with boiling wort.
The end result is full isomerisation of your hops for bittering while allowing full wash through to extract the oils for flavour and aroma additions for those late additions. Excellent for reducing the losses of beer to hop trub.
